Placed on the rocky top above the city; it has earned its name as "The Acropolis".
The Acropolis was built around 650 B.C. - 480 B.C. or known as the
Archaic period, this structure has been around for a long time.

Dionysus' Theater
Even though there are tons of theaters in Ancient Greece this one is dedicated to Dionysus, the God of Wine and Madness. Greeks started to develop Fine Arts in 550 B.C . Dionysus' Theater doesn't just host plenty of plays and dramas, it also showcases songs and dances. What's special about this theater is that they host this event called, Dinoysia which is this event that last for 4 days that's fulled of music, plays and dancing.

The early Athenians invented the idea of theatre. Plays in which invole acting of indivuals and also private individuals publicly examined man's fate. For three days running, the people of Athens men, women, and children would rise at dawn to go to the theatre to watch the tragedies performed. Each day, they would see three plays by one playwright. A panel of judges eventually select the best plays and playwrights recived an amount of money accroding to 1st to 3rd place.

The Parthenon (Virgin) -
This structure was also voted one of the most world wonders also. Oh yes, indeed it is. The home of the famous statue of Athens' Patron goddess and also the goddess of Warfare and Wisdom, Athena. Athena's statue was 39 ft. high. The Parthenon was made to dedicate Athena and also for a place to worship her specifically explaining why the Parthenon means Virgin since Athena is a maiden goddess. The temple also displays a collection of paintings and statues in the honor of the Olympian Gods.
